Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy outlines how Singlet collects, processes, and protects personal data in connection with our website, communications, and Azure Marketplace services.

1. Who we are

This policy applies to two companies, together called "Singlet", "we", "us" or "our" in this policy:

  • Singlet Ltd, Bulgaria, UIC 202519004, registered address ul. Momina Salza 17, Novi Iskar 1280, Bulgaria

Singlet has appointed a data protection officer. For any question about this policy or your personal data, write to dpo@singlet.dev. We answer within one month.

This policy covers the website singlet.dev and Singlet's offers on Microsoft Azure Marketplace.

2. Email enquiries

When you email us, for example at info@singlet.dev, we receive your email address, your name and whatever you include in your message.

We use this only to reply to you and continue the conversation you started. We do not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)), and you can object to it at any time.

Our mailbox is hosted on Microsoft 365. We keep your messages for 3 years after our last exchange with you.

3. Singlet offers on Azure Marketplace

When you deploy or try a Singlet offer from Azure Marketplace, Singlet receives the limited data described below, and nothing else.

Contact details from Microsoft (leads)

When you deploy a Singlet offer, Microsoft shares your contact details with the Singlet company that publishes the offer, as explained when you acquire the offer. We receive them in Microsoft Partner Center. They are your name, email address and company, the offer you used, and any other contact details Microsoft includes, such as job title, phone number or country.

We use these details only to contact you about the offer you deployed: to help you get started, provide support and follow up on your use of it. We do not send you marketing. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in supporting customers of our offers (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)), and you can object at any time. We keep lead details for 3 years after our last interaction with you, then delete them.

Managed Application notifications

Some Singlet offers are Azure Managed Applications. For these, Azure sends Singlet an automated notification when an instance is created, updated or deleted. The notification contains technical identifiers: your Azure subscription ID, the managed application's resource ID, the plan, the event type and its time, and the provisioning state. It contains no names or contact details.

We use these notifications to operate, support and bill the application you deployed. The legal basis is performing our contract with you (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)), or our legitimate interest in operating the service where no contract exists. Notifications are received by a Singlet service hosted in Microsoft Azure in the EU. We keep them for as long as the instance exists, plus 1 year after it is deleted. Operational logs of that service are kept for 90 days.

Customer usage attribution

Singlet's Azure Marketplace offers include a Microsoft tracking identifier in their deployment template, a deployment named pid- followed by an ID. Microsoft adds it when the offer is published. When you deploy the offer, Microsoft can identify the installation of Singlet software with the deployed Azure resources. Microsoft can correlate these resources used to support the software. Microsoft collects this information to provide the best experiences with their products and to operate their business. The data is collected and governed by Microsoft's privacy policies, located at https://www.microsoft.com/trustcenter.

Microsoft does not share this usage data with Singlet. Singlet receives no personal data through it.

If you would like to deploy a Singlet offer without customer usage attribution, contact us at dpo@singlet.dev.

No other telemetry

Singlet's Azure Marketplace offers collect no telemetry, usage analytics or diagnostic data from your environment and send none to Singlet. Customer usage attribution and Managed Application notifications are the only exceptions, and both are described above.

4. Who receives your data

We do not sell your personal data or share it with anyone for their own marketing. Within Singlet, only staff of the Singlet company that controls your data can access it, as described in section 6. Outside Singlet, only these service providers process it on our behalf:

6. Cross-border processing

Singlet Ltd is in the European Economic Area (EEA) and Singlet Kenya Ltd is in Kenya. Personal data controlled by Singlet Ltd, which includes email enquiries and Singlet Ltd's Azure Marketplace offers, is not shared with Singlet Kenya Ltd. Staff of Singlet Kenya Ltd do not access it.

When Singlet Kenya Ltd is the controller and transfers personal data out of Kenya, for example to our service providers, it applies the safeguards required by Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019. You can request details at dpo@singlet.dev.

Transfers to our service providers are covered in section 4.

  • in the EU: the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection (https://www.cpdp.bg), or the authority in the EU country where you live or work
  • in Kenya: the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (https://www.odpc.go.ke), with which Singlet Kenya Ltd is registered as a data controller and data processor

We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.

8. Cookies, automated decisions and changes

singlet.dev uses no analytics, advertising or tracking, and sets no cookies. Fonts and other files are served from singlet.dev itself, so visiting the site does not contact third parties.

We make no decisions about you based solely on automated processing, and we do no profiling.

Our website and offers are meant for businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page and update the date below. If a change significantly affects how we use data we already hold, we will tell the people affected.
